Do you really know Cleopatra? Who was Cleopatra? Cleopatra ruled with something called the Ptolemaic dynasty. She also ruled with many different people over the years she was alive. You might think that Cleopatra married only one or two people, but you are dead wrong.
And I don’t think you knew that Cleopatra terminated one of her brothers and executed one of her sisters. Did you know Cleopatra wasn’t her whole name, it was Cleopatra VII Philopator. She ruled Ancient Egypt as a co regent; one reason she was so famous is because she said she was the reincarnation of Isis, a famous Egyptian goddess of babies being made.
She also attended to Alexander the Great during his conquest of Egypt in 332 BCE. This is just a little about Cleopatra. Cleopatra was in Ptolemaic dynasty, which was a Greek family of the what people thought was great Macedonian origin.
They ruled Egypt after in later years Alexander the Great died. They spoke Greek and refused to be like the late Egyptians, which is part of why Greek as well as Egyptian was on the Rosetta Stone. Cleopatra basically gave Egypt to the Greeks. Cleopatra ruled with many different people.
For example, she administered with her dad, Ptolemy XII Auletes. Then she ruled with her brothers Ptolemy XII Theos Philopator, and her other brother Ptolemy XIV, whom she married. She also kind of ruled with Julius Caesar. She ruled with many people but will not make it on the “Who Ruled with the most people”. She also was intimate with many men.
1st she married her brother Ptolemy XIV. But sadly cheating on her husband, Cleopatra had an affair with Julius Caesar, whom she later married when she was 21, however he got assassinated. Without following Caesar’s legal heir, she aligned with Mark Antony; But he sadly affecting Cleopatra, committed suicide after he lost the Battle of Actium.
Following in Antony’s foot steps Cleopatra committed suicide on what most people think to be August 12, 30 BCE.
