Executive Summary The main aim of a bank is to earn profit by providingits wide range of services but aim of Bangladesh Bank is different. As it isthe central bank of Bangladesh its main aim is to establish and maintain a goodbanking system for all commercial banks as well as its clients. Bangladesh bankcontinuously monitor and support all commercials banks because commercial banksare playing a vital role in ensuring greater economic growth for theBangladesh. The report mainly comprises of a brief overview of theBangladesh bank, the department and the people.
Here I have broadly discussedabout the main section, Off-site section, which consists of my assignments andcontribution towards the organization. I have briefly explained about Off-SiteSupervision Department for which I have worked for. This department main functionis to evaluate the commercials bank’s performance based on the given data.Based on different criteria, Off-Site Supervision Department evaluate thecommercial banks financial condition. This department has seven sections.
Allsections are interconnected to each other. All sections work together toprepare different types of rating such as CAMELS Rating, Risk rating and so on.Through this rating Bangladesh Bank measures all commercial banks performance.
I have discussed about the interaction with my seniorcolleagues, problems that arises throughout my observations and necessaryrecommendations for those problems and how I have dealt with difficulties. Ialso have discussed about how this internship has influenced my career plans. Ihave completed my internship at Motijheel Branch of Bangladesh Bank. I foundthere a very good job environment which inspire me to join in this bank in nearfuture.
