Myresearch focus on finding the economical & sustainable way to integrate BIM& ERP system. ProblemStatementCurrently BuildingInformation Modelling (BIM) tools and workflows are now widely acknowledged asenablers for improved efficiencies of the construction project through its lifecycle.
Due to the demand of the BIM technology in the construction industryinvolvement of the researchers on this technology have been rapidly growth inrecent years. More than 50% research were carried on use of BIM in construction,conceptual& detailed design and feasibility management. Among the BIMresearchers Less than 5% were observed on BIM integration with ERP system. Lackof interest on ERP system in small scale companies. Although it has beenobserved far behind to use fully utilized BIM features. Additional overhead dueto Information technology development delay the growth rate of these tools indeveloping organization. Lack ofeducational knowledge about among construction staff also identified as issuein the operational phase.The potential limitation ofmy research are each firm are using different ERP tools in the constructionindustry.
Carried out research for various software tools is a difficult task. Costof the software tools cause a barrier for further research development. Expensiveness,user friendly also effect the interest of the user rather than availablefeatures of the software tools.
Contractor requirement is depend on severalfactors. Type, size of the project. It also being vary from place to place. Knowledge gap between construction site andsoftware site delay integrating process of BIM& ERP system. Significanceof the research Lack of collaboration amongthe staff member will lead to most of the construction failure. Lot of humanerror was observed in every step of the construction process.
