Research question:- whether nuts are able to store energy. Given that they are able to, what is the energy storage and different types of nuts?Hypothesis:- The first hypothesis is nuts are able to store energy or not? And the second hypothesis is that the cashew nut will have a higher energy storage than almonds?Independent variable :- 1. The different types of nuts.
2. The water in test tubes.Dependent variable :- 1. The energy content of nuts.
Controlled variables :- Amount of water.The distance between the burning nuts and the test tube.The equipment’s. thermometer. Each chip is burnt until it can’t burn anymore.
Safety precautions :- While performing any lab we should Wear lab courts. And wear safety goggles.Background information :- Different types of nuts provide different kinds of nutritional benefits. Almonds, for example, contain many proteins. They are also rich in iron and potassium.
Cashew nuts contain many kinds of amino acids, and copper. Nuts can be eaten raw. They can also be roasted or cooked alongside other dishes. Nuts contain certain kinds of oils, and these can be extracted to make cooking oil or for other uses, Wild animals depend on nuts for food.

2:- Burning the nutsHold the nut with the help of tongs and burn it completely Place the nut under the test tube without touching the test tube Measure the temperature.3:-Exhaustion:-Record the readings before heating. Remove the nut from the tongs after its full exhausted.
Measure the temperature of the water after it has been heated.4:- Repeat the process again:-Wash all materials. Fill in new amount of water in the beaker after it cools. Similarly taking another nut and repeating the process.Record the readings before heating and after heating.
