Sustainability is an important topic that focusing on when designing building. The goal is very often on reduce energy cost, carbon emissions, water use and waste cost through the life cycle, and give the buildings a long life span (Sika Hellas ABEE, 2011).MFBM1 One of the important roles in sustainable development is Technology. We use technologies to extract natural resources, to modify them for human purposes, and to adapt our man-made living space. Drastic improvements have been seen in the quality of life of many people through the use of technology (Vanegas, Dubose, & Pearce, 1994)
The aim of repairs is to bring back the architectural shape of the building. The technique for repair and strengthening would normally depend greatly to the structural scheme and materials used for the construction of the building in the first instance, the technology that is possible to adopt rapidly and on the amount of funds that can be assigned to the task, usually very limited. (IAEE, 2015)MFBM2
Grouting is the process of injecting fluid that set into void or cracks. The most commonly used grout in rock foundations is cement and water. The grout is pushes through to fill the void. (Houlsby A.C, 1990). MFBM3 Grouting was for a long time considered to be an art rather than a science. Much of that had to do with little knowledge of the reaction of the grout in the ground and the lack of measuring devices to record the most important parameters and the ability to compare and evaluate the results. With the developments in equipment and materials grouting is now more and more accepted as an efficient method for the treatment of soil and rock formations. (Müller & Ag, 2001)
The tool of the joints use to compact the mortar improves durability and rain-shedding qualities. The strength of mortar also affects long term durability of brickwork therefore it is recommended to seek advice on what mortar strength and joint profile is most suitable for a particular application and exposure zone. (Ibstock Brick Limited, 2015). The original function of mortar was to seal permeable walls and provide protection from rain and wind. The most important requirements for masonry are that the joints are completely filled with mortar, and that no units are adjusted after the mortar has set. If these requirements are not met, the wall will have a lesser amount of strength and tightness. (Sandin, 1995)
Aluminium formwork system is fast removal system so that it can shorter the construction period. Generally, it can greatly improve the construction schedule and save management costs. Other than that, it can be reused more often and lower cost. Aluminum template system uses extruded aluminum profile as original material. A set of templates standardize the construction can be flipped and used more than 250 times. The using of aluminium fomwork system was capable to produce the smooth surfaces and accurately dimensioned panels.
However, each of the smooth surfaces and accurately dimensioned panels will be have tie-pin hole due to the PVC sleeve that is installed between the wall panel and the opposite side’s wall panel. The flat tie will be inserted inside this item in order to protect the flat tie to be casted within the concrete. That entire tie- pin hole at the shear wall usually will be grout by cement mortar using hawk board, the trowel and the float as concrete finishing repairing work by the site work before the skim coat work is done.
It is appearing as simple, light work, but in fact it taking time because there have a lot number of tie- pin holes and much grouting work to do for the shear wall. The grouting works sometime failed which is the sika cement did not fill the tie- pin hole due to the unsuitable tools. This situation can give effect to the shear wall in term of quality.As per appendix 1, the form tie and pin holes are cause a problem to the architecture work. i. The tie-pin hole are supposed to properly grout. Not just randomly patched with cement mortar ii. Caused water seeping through the external wall façade and damage the finished skim wall i. To identify the problem occurs during concrete finishing repairing work ii. To create an innovative tool for concrete finishing repairing work which is economical iii. To evaluate the feedback of the effectiveness of the tools during concrete finishing repairing work This study aims to the development of consumer decision making behaviour within hotel perspective and the emerging of green consumer. The scope of this study is as below: i. Objectives of this study using the demographic form to obtain the feedback about effectiveness of The Smart Grout Touch Tool that will use during concrete finishing repairing work at Picasso Residence site. For the shear wall, sika cement will be filled into The Smart Grout Touch Tool and use during the grouting work at the pin-tie hole. This research will provide innovative tools for concrete finishing repairing work. The Smart Grout Touch Tool has been developed to make it more users friendly and affordable so that the tools can be use broadly during finishing repairing work on other site. The Smart Grout Touch Tool will be expected to provide higher speed during concrete finishing repairing work the Smart Grout Touch Tool will ease the concrete finishing repairing work and expected to can prevent the imperfection touch.
