Although Europehad many positives that resulted from colonization, there are some negativeaspects as well.
Slavery was the biggest con for Europe, because the effects ofslavery left a negative mark on a majority of the world for decades. Europeansdidn’t see anything wrong with slavery because they didn’t witness how itoperated first hand; but that doesn’t mean the horrors of slavery were hidden.People from Africa were forced to leave their homes and made to work on plantationsunder crucial conditions all without pay. Not only did the continent of Africa suffer becauseof the European colonization, but the Americas suffered too. The Europeansbrought along their own sickness and diseases when they colonized.
The people fromthe Americas were never exposed to these diseases before; and they died becausetheir bodies couldn’t handle the sickness. The European colonization brought onmore harm than good, because many people suffered at the hands of the Europeans. However, all of the events that took place, good and the bad, factored into therise of Europe.
