The the crops one by one and which

traditional way of seed sowing takes more time and requires huge amount of
manpower, to reduce the soreness caused, implanting tools were introduced. An
implanter is a tool which is used for sowing seeds and planting crops and it is
operated by means of mechanisms. The implanter which is at present has a
drawback of depositing the crops one by one and which has to be done manually.

          To overcome the difficulty of
dropping the crops separately, a detailed research was made to fix the problem.
By introducing lining up mechanism in a plate, we can store certain number of
seeds or crops in the plate. The power is generated from the rotation of wheels
and it is transferred through the bevel gears to the plate. The plate is
rotated and the crop is pushed outside the plate one by one and dropped into
the implanter, by means of mechanisms.

1.      Project Description:

More than half of India’s population is
dependent on agriculture either directly or indirectly. The farming involves in
multiples stages in order to harvest and obtain a crop. Some of the steps in
harvesting a crop are seed implanting, spraying, weeding etc. The farmers
should get updated with the modern technology in order to make most use of the
technology and yield more amount of crops.

equipment has be developed in such a way that it should meet the food
requirements of

growing population and developing
industrialization. So the machines has to be discovered that can help the
farmers to save their time, money and increase the production rate. Here
usually most of the farmers implant the crops manually which involves in larger
use manpower and more time consuming. This problem is overcome with an
implanter is a tool considered to be used for seedling or implanting a crop. In
General, implanters are manually operated by making a impact with surface of
the agricultural field as shown in Fig. 1

Relevant works reported
in literatures

Pranil V. Savalakhe, Amit wandhre, Ashish
Sontakke,Bhushan Patil1 stated that solar power sowing machine is basically
works on vertical discontinuous principle which refers to the vertical movement
which can be followed by an individual body in an agricultural field and
implements its discontinuous action in relation to the horizontal line of work.

A. R, patel D. B2 stated that as the seed implanting machine is
pushed, wheel is rotating which transmit power to plunger through chain and
sprocket mechanism. Now the cam is mounted on sprocket shift which push plunger
towards downward direction. Once plunger is penetrate in soil and during the
backward stoke flapper is opened so seed get separated from plunger and
inserted in the dig.

Nagesh B. Adalinge, Ganesh B. Lavate,
Ragul R. Mane3 stated that the equipment is push forward by using handles.
Improved seed-cum-seed drills are provided with seed and seed boxes, metering
mechanism, forrow openers, covering devices, frame, ground drive system and
control for variation of seed and seed rates.

Ms. Trupti A. Shinde, Dr. Jeyashree. S.
Awati4 stated that In each complete rotation of rotating Wheel there is seeds
falls from this seed drum and seed plantation process taken place smoothly and
without wastage of seeds. The sowing disc is rotate in the seed chamber, the
seeds are falls in the seed chamber through seed storage tank .The seed buckets
are collect the seeds from the chamber and it sow in the ground as required
depth with the help of plough.

Pradeep Gorre, Deepan Leburu, Srinivas
Kopparthi, Navakishore Kayala5 stated that this project is to drive an
external dc servo motor for which the drill equipment and seed sowing equipment
is connected. Here, the motion of the robot is decided by using a black line
and the seed sowing equipment works at every successive node on the black line.

Prof. Abhijit G. Naik,
Prof. Amay Deorao Meshram, Prof. Siraj Y. sayyad6 stated that the prototype
is worked based on seed metering mechanism deliver
the seeds into the seed tube. . The feed roller and the feed cut-off device are
mounted a shaft, running through the feed cups. The fluted rollers which are
mounted at the bottom of the seed box, receive seeds into longitudinal grooves
and pass on to the seed tube through the holes provided for this purpose. By
shifting the fluted wheel sideways, the length of the grooves exposed to the
seed can be increased or decreased and hence the amount of seed is controlled.

metering mechanisms is used to implant seeds. Analyis is results both the
continuous and discontinuous seeding is done by this prototype and also machine used in any type of soil.

               The above literatures
clearly shows that seed implanting is done by the means of metering mechanism,
solar power or motorized. Hence this project is based on designing and
developing a new seedling tool only by the means of mechanisms. For the phase
one project work, finite element analysis for the frame of the product is done.

Lining up mechanism

The power for the mechanism is
obtained from the rotation of wheel. Initially the power is transmitted to
bevel gear from rotating wheel, the bevel gear converts the power to 90°, thus
the required power is obtained and lining up mechanism is done. It is used to
