When I was a little kid, everything seemed easy, the
world was at my feet, and I had “when I get older I can do anything” mindset.
Now that I am older, nothing is simple, the world seems out of reach. I know
life isn’t boundless but has many limits. I could go back to the time when my
parents sheltered me from the harsh realities I face growing up. I can remember
the point in my life where I was not a kid anymore, and I gained perspective on
life. The value of education is something that I have understood since a very
young age. One day, my mother took me to her workplace. I felt like I was in a
different world where I could witness her giving a lecture. I grew up seeing how
she encountered hardships as a mother of two children and at the same time as a
professor at the university.
I graduated Lyceum, I became certain that if I wanted to pursue a higher education
I needed to be persistent and determined to achieve my career aspirations. However,
I would not be at this level in my education without my mother’s support.
Without having my father’s emotional and economic assistance, she has provided me
with a decent quality of life. I would not say I am from a disadvantaged family.
My mother receives one of the higher salaries in Uzbekistan. Nevertheless, as
South Korea is one of the most developed countries, cost of living and salaries
are different here.
know that all of my goals will remain dreams if I do not complete my degree. Therefore,
I am committed to working hard and looking for opportunities that could help me
make my goals a reality I decided that I will attain a career as a psychologist
since my passion has always been assisting others and trying to improve their
quality of life. Therefore, I think that pursuing such a career will provide me
the opportunity to help improve the community’s health quality conditions and
learn about their mental needs.
