When I was a little kid, everything seemed easy, theworld was at my feet, and I had “when I get older I can do anything” mindset. Now that I am older, nothing is simple, the world seems out of reach. I knowlife isn’t boundless but has many limits. I could go back to the time when myparents sheltered me from the harsh realities I face growing up.
I can rememberthe point in my life where I was not a kid anymore, and I gained perspective onlife. The value of education is something that I have understood since a veryyoung age. One day, my mother took me to her workplace. I felt like I was in adifferent world where I could witness her giving a lecture. I grew up seeing howshe encountered hardships as a mother of two children and at the same time as aprofessor at the university.
AfterI graduated Lyceum, I became certain that if I wanted to pursue a higher educationI needed to be persistent and determined to achieve my career aspirations. However,I would not be at this level in my education without my mother’s support.Without having my father’s emotional and economic assistance, she has provided mewith a decent quality of life. I would not say I am from a disadvantaged family. My mother receives one of the higher salaries in Uzbekistan. Nevertheless, asSouth Korea is one of the most developed countries, cost of living and salariesare different here.
Iknow that all of my goals will remain dreams if I do not complete my degree. Therefore,I am committed to working hard and looking for opportunities that could help memake my goals a reality I decided that I will attain a career as a psychologistsince my passion has always been assisting others and trying to improve theirquality of life. Therefore, I think that pursuing such a career will provide methe opportunity to help improve the community’s health quality conditions andlearn about their mental needs.
