Why I chose Masters of Data Science and Innovation :- My interest inthe statistical presentation of MIS reports and data presentation starteddating back to my college days. I would say I was not so pleased when I have towait to view my data, be it university results and Bank transaction report.It’s the case with most of the people today. My internship at ICT- Infraconand Silver Touch Technologies was an exhilarating experience.
I was part of theteam, involved in development on the Java Project to support theReporting solutions critical to the Business Operations. For the first twoweeks of the internship, I was assigned the task of developing code for MISreports for Payroll system developed by the development team. This involvedvalidating the report design against the user requirements document andvalidating the data displayed in the reports. Thereafter as I became acquaintedwith the processes, I was given the responsibility of developing additionalreports, use cases, functional diagrams as well as business flow diagrams. Thisinternship allowed me to gain valuable exposure to the corporate environmentand also gave me a chance to apply my classroom knowledge in a real worldsetting. It made me realize the importance of building relationships withprofessionals and also acquire relevant job skills.
